| | Descripción: | Dustin Hoffman glänzt mit einer "meisterhaften Leistung" (Hollywood Reporter) in diesem mitreißenden Epos, das spielend zwischen Komödie und Drama wechselt.Im stolzen Alter von 121 Jahren erzählt Jack Crabb die Geschichte seines Lebens. Als Zehnjähriger wird er von Indianern entführt und aufgezogen. Sechs Jahre verbringt der von den Cheyenne Little Big Man genannte Crabb in der Prärie, bevor er zu den Weißen zurückkehrt.
Der christlich-liebevollen Obhut der aufreizenden Pfarrersfrau Mrs. Pendrake indes entflieht er rasch. In den folgenden Jahren versucht sich Crabb in etlichen Berufen und wird zu einem rastlosen Wanderer zwischen der Welt der Indianer und der Weißen. In der Schlacht am Little Big Horn erlebt er schließlich den letzten Sieg der amerikanischen Ureinwohner und kehrt als einziger weißer Überebender zu den Indianern zurück...
