 | | Description: | â??Parisâ??, the double live album by The Cure, has turned 30 years
old, and to celebrate, remastered 2LP and 1CD versions will be reissued
featuring two bonus tracks. â??Parisâ?? has been remastered by Robert Smith
and Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, London. The LP, which is being
issued on black vinyl for the first time since 1993, was cut by Miles Showell
at Abbey Road.
â??Parisâ?? was the second of two live records documenting the bandâ??s 1992
tour in support of their ninth album â??Wishâ??. The first album â??Showâ?? was
released in September 1993 and reissued in July last year.
The 14-track album was recorded over three nights at Le Zénith de Paris in
October 1992 and includes the singles â??Lovesongâ?, â??Catchâ?, â??A Letter To
Eliseâ?, â??Charlotte Sometimesâ?, â??Close To Meâ? and the perennial Cure live
favourites â??Play For Todayâ? and â??One Hundred Yearsâ??.
The Cureâ??s 30th anniversary re-issue of â??Parisâ?? has now been expanded with
the addition of two recently discovered previously unreleased tracks
â??Shake Dog Shakeâ? and â??Hot Hot Hot!!!â? which now top and tail the
album. The album running order has also been reconfigured accordingly. - Issued in a four panel gatefold matte card sleeve. To the left is a shallow half-pocket containing an eight page staple bound booklet. To the right is a vertical recess and half-pocket containing the disc. There is a fold in the back panel to ease access.
Hype sticker to the front, whilst on the reverse is a small sticker identifying country of manufacture. Both are applied to the shrink-wrap.

made in the EU (on back cover) made in Czech Republic (on sticker)"Paris (Expanded Edition 1CD)" by The Cure is an atmospheric live album on CD that captures the band's darkly romantic side in an intimate concert setting. Recorded during their successful early-90s live era, this expanded edition presents a carefully curated selection of songs that emphasize mood, dynamics, and Robert Smith's unmistakable voice and guitar textures. The tracklist focuses strongly on the band's more introspective and hypnotic material, giving the performance a cohesive, nocturnal feel that will particularly appeal to fans of their gothic and dream-pop phases. The "Expanded Edition" concept typically means additional tracks or a refined presentation compared to earlier versions, offering more depth for both long-time followers and new listeners who want to immerse themselves in The Cure's live sound.
The Cure are one of the most influential alternative rock bands to emerge from the late 1970s and 1980s, known for shaping post-punk, gothic rock, and melancholic pop. Over the decades, they have released a series of landmark albums that defined entire genres and helped them build a devoted global fan base. Their distinctive blend of melancholy melodies, atmospheric guitars, and emotionally charged lyrics has made them a reference point for countless later bands, and their live performances are renowned for intensity, long setlists, and strong emotional arcs. With "Paris (Expanded Edition 1CD)", listeners can experience this live magic in a concentrated form, centered on some of the band's more reflective and immersive songs.
The CD format offers high-quality, reliable sound and convenient handling, making it ideal for collectors who appreciate physical media, artwork, and detailed liner notes. A live release such as this gains particular value on CD, as the continuous flow of the concert and the carefully mastered audio are preserved in a durable, easy-to-play format. It is a suitable addition for fans who want to expand their collection beyond studio albums and dive deeper into The Cure's stage presence and musical evolution.
The release is manufactured by Universal, one of the world's leading music companies with a long history in producing and distributing high-quality recordings.
