| Description: | Sony Masterworks is proud to present Elliott Armen's second album, Turbulence. For the latter, the young singer decided to go to Scotland, dreaming of a particularly secluded recording on the Isle of Lewis. That's where Peter Fletcher's inspiring Black Bay Studio is located, on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Elliott Armen took the ferry from Saint-Malo to Stornoway, the island's main town, by bus, where he began his 200-kilometer trek through splendid Celtic desert landscapes. After pitching his tent under the stars for twelve days, he arrivedĖ at his destination, steepedĖ in the archipelago. It was then that he immersed himself in total calm to record this new opus.
A journey through grief, love and solitude. A translation of the immense landscapes that populate the Celtic lands. Turbulence is a hymn to melancholy as the motor of joy, where guitars, pianos, drums and an ethereal voice combine to deliver that special, enveloping, timeless atmosphere that is Elliott Armen's trademark. - |
