"Silence Is Madness" is a powerful LP by the American Christian metal band Bride, reissued by the specialist label Retroactive. Originally released at the turn from the 1980s to the 1990s, this album captures the band in a phase where classic heavy metal, hard rock and early power-metal influences merge with socially conscious and faith-based lyrics. Expect razor-sharp riffs, expressive guitar solos, a tight rhythm section and Dale Thompson's distinctive, intense vocals, which move confidently between melodic passages and raw, aggressive shouts. The songs on "Silence Is Madness" combine catchy hooks with a dark, sometimes almost apocalyptic atmosphere, dealing with themes such as inner conflict, spiritual struggle and the search for truth in a noisy, chaotic world. This LP edition is aimed at collectors and fans of high-quality physical formats who want to experience the album in its original, analog charm, with warm sound and a coherent album flow from the first to the last groove.
Retroactive Records is known for lovingly restoring and reissuing classic albums from the hard rock and metal underground, with a particular focus on Christian rock and metal. The label places great value on sound quality, carefully prepared reissues and often upgraded artwork and packaging, so that out-of-print or hard-to-find albums become accessible again in high quality. With this LP version of "Silence Is Madness", Retroactive underlines its reputation as a label that preserves important milestones of the scene and makes them available to a new generation of listeners and long-time fans alike.
Bride have been one of the defining names in Christian metal since the late 1980s. The band made a name for themselves early on with energetic live shows and a sound that bridged the gap between classic heavy metal, hard rock and later more groove-oriented and modern influences. Over the years, Bride released a series of albums that are considered key titles within the Christian hard & heavy scene and helped shape and broaden the genre's audience. Their longevity, continuous artistic development and unmistakable vocal style have made them a staple reference for fans of faith-based metal across the globe. "Silence Is Madness" represents an important stage in that journey, capturing Bride at a time when their songwriting, musical identity and lyrical depth were coming strongly into focus.
