"Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous" is the groundbreaking debut album by legendary Harlem rapper Big L, released in 1995 and now available on CD from Sony Music Entertainment. This influential record showcases Big L's razor-sharp lyricism, intricate wordplay, and vivid storytelling that quickly established him as one of East Coast hip-hop's most promising talents. The album features classic tracks like "Put It On," "M.V.P.," and "Street Struck," blending gritty street narratives with clever punchlines over hard-hitting beats produced by Buckwild, Lord Finesse, and Showbiz. Kelvin M. - 25/Aug/2018 4 of 5 Stars!
This is album is dark, gritty and gory...not for kids. Big L's debut sounds like it was recorded from the depths of hell...the rhymes are tight and witty...often overlooked because it was released around the same time as Nas's Illmatic. This is horrorcore rap at its finest!
