Description:The 30th Anniversary of Roxetteâ??s â?Joyrideâ? will be celebrated with the release of a 4-album vinyl and a 3-CD box, containing the original release as well as previously unreleased or hard-to-get material, that paints a fuller picture of a unique time in pop history. A richly illustrated 32 page booklet tells the story. Twelve of the songs are previously unreleased, among them the first recording of â?Hotbloodedâ?, which originally was meant to be the albumâ??s opening track until â?Joyrideâ? knocked it down a notch, giving the album and the upcoming â??Join the Joyrideâ? World Tour its name. The â??Joyrideâ? box set also offers a chance to hear two previously unreleased demos of songs originally released by Perâ??s former group Gyllene Tider, who in 1984 tried to break the international market with the album â??Heartland CafĂ©â?. Other unearthed demoes from 1990 are â?Small Talkâ?, â?Church Of Your Heartâ?, â?Physical Fascinationâ?, â?Things Will Never Be The Sameâ?, â?I Remember Youâ? and not least the future single B-side â?The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbyeâ? â?? one of the strongest songs that never made it to the album. This year marks 30 years since Roxette released her third album Joyride, which followed up the band's record global breakthrough with the album Look Sharp! In 1989. Roxette had in record time turned into a global hit phenomenon thanks to the three US hits The Look, Listen To Your Heart, It Must Have Been Love and other big hits such as Dressed For Success and Dangerous. Joyride was the album that was supposed to cement the unlikely successes of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle. Which indeed it did. The album not only became Roxette's bestseller, the title track zoomed all the way up to the top of the US charts on 1st May 1991 - giving Roxette their fourth US No.1. Thus, the group set a record that no Scandinavian group or artist has managed to surpass.
