Jessie Lee & the Alchemists haben mit "Let It Shine", ihrem zweiten Album, das am 7. Mai auf Dixiefrog Records erscheint, genau das Gegenteil bewiesen. Alles begann bei Gründung der Band im Jahr 2015. Bestehend aus der charismatischen Sängerin und Gitarristin Jessie Lee, dem umwerfenden Gitarristen Alexis "Mr. Al" Didier, unterstützt von Laurent Cokelaeres treibenden Bass, Stéphane Minanas tighten Groove am Schlagzeug und Laurian Daires meisterhaftem Organ forderten sie ihr ganz persönliches Glück in der Musikbranche heraus. Als "Hoffnung für die europäische Blueszene" bezeichnet, begann die Band, ihre Kunst auf so vielen Bühnen wie möglich zu definieren, um im Jahr 2018 das erste gleichnamiges Album aufzunehmen. Noch im selben Jahr wurde die Band mit 5 Preisen bei der International Mississippi Blues Trail Challenge ausgezeichnet. Eine weitere Anerkennung folgte 2019, als sie die Challenge France Blues gewannen und eine Einladung erhielten, Frankreich bei der European Blues Challenge 2021 zu vertreten. Mit viel Seriosität und Selbstbewusstsein im Gepäck, nahm die Band im Februar 2020 ihr zweites Album "Let It Shine" unter Aufsicht von Hugo Bracchi auf. Um der musikalischen und textlichen Inspirationsquelle der Band treu zu bleiben, erfolgten Aufnahme und Abmischung dieses Albums komplett analog. Bei "Let It Shine" fällt sofort das beeindruckende Gesangstalent von Jessie Lee auf, die sowohl im rhythmischen- als auch im Soloteil eine hervorragende Gitarristin abgibt. Gepaart mit der Virtuosität und Lyrik von Alexis "Mr. AL" Didier - der auch Komponist und Regisseur des Albums ist â?? treffen sie mit ihrem Konzept voll ins Schwarze. Dabei blieb die Band natürlich nicht anteilnahmslos.
