Description:Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2014 haben sich OHHMS mit ihrer Mischung aus Progressive Rock und Doom zu einem festen Bestandteil der britischen Underground-Metal-Szene und darüber hinaus entwickelt. Während sich die Band nie davor gescheut hat, Koryphäen wie Pink Floyd und Black Sabbath zu zitieren, sind OHHMS im Jahr 2020 weitaus facettenreicher - mit noise rock und Sludge Elementen, die sich in ihr Klangarsenal (insbesondere bei "Revenge" und "Destroyer") einschleichen. Dieses Sperrfeuer aus Sludge und Noise findet sich zwischen Schwaden von melodischer Melancholie und Reflexion wieder und lädt den Zuhörer ein diesen Ausdruck der Wut auf einer tieferen Ebene zu erleben. Mit dem Alter kann das Nachsinnen kommen und die Weisheit genutzt werden, die trotz aller Brachialität im Herzen des Albums liegt - was wohl die erstaunlichste Errungenschaft in der Wut der Band ist. -

An autobiographical concept album set to a template of hook fuelled experimental rock". The insert advises: Artwork by Ruth Stanley (Monomoth). 'Close' is the final installment of the trilogy that began with '[url=https://www.discogs.com/OHHMS-Bloom/master/823058]Bloom[/url]' in 2014 and was followed by '[url=https://www.discogs.com/OHHMS-Cold/master/854982]Cold[/url]' in 2015.
