- Alex Puddu is at the top of his game, with a strong set of tight-produced soulful and melodic tracks that bring you back to the late '70s / early '80s, in the middle of the Soul-Funk and Boogie music scene. "Discotheque" also hosts the brilliant collaboration with Gene Robinson Jr., singer of the legendary Philadelphia R&B/funk band Breakwater, on three tracks. If you believed the modern soul/funk/R&B scene had nothing else to say, "Discotheque" is here to prove you wrong! Alex Puddu is one of the most direct and creative artists and composers of our day; a multi-instrumentalist with visions and skills. He was born in Rome in 1967 and moved to Copenhagen, Denmark in 1987. He began his music career as a drummer at the age of fifteen. He is truly devoted to the Italian vintage sound of the giallo/poliziottesco and horror movies from the early seventies: Jazz/percussive psych-groove.
