Based on Cassandra Clare's bestselling "The Mortal Instruments" novels, the show follows Clary Fray, who discovers on her 18th birthday that she belongs to an ancient lineage of Shadowhunters - half-angel warriors sworn to protect humanity from demons. Season 3.1 intensifies the stakes: dark forces gather in New York, loyalties are tested and the young heroes must fight not only external enemies, but also their own inner demons. The Blu-ray edition offers crisp image quality and immersive sound, making the visually rich world of runes, seraph blades and downworlder politics particularly compelling.
At the center is Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, whose career gained strong international attention through "Shadowhunters" and later prominent roles in series such as "Arrow". Dominic Sherwood plays Jace Wayland, a troubled and charismatic Shadowhunter; he became known to genre audiences through "Vampire Academy". Alberto Rosende embodies Simon Lewis, the quick-witted best friend whose transformation from mundane to downworlder is one of the emotional cores of the series.
