The album is a Limited Edition, Remastered rock LP. - WHITE VINYL2015 EU limited edition 7-track MONO vinyl LP, NO LONGER WHITE VINYL released for Record Store Day 2015, gatefold cover. On PARLOPHONE label. The super rare, and possibly previously unreleased (we can't be 100% sure) mono mix of Deep Purple Mark 1's second LP. Released on Warner Brothers Records in North America and Japan and on Harvest Records in the rest of the world. This record will be cut from the high resolution transfer of the original analogue master tape that has been used in the Hard Road Mark 1 CD box set. NO LONGER WHiTE VINYL! That was 2015 now this is NO LONGER WHITE VINYLPreviously unreleased mono mix of Deep Purple Mark 1's second LP on black vinyl (unlike this one on white - [r=6909018])
Both mono and stereo tapes of 'The Book Of Taliesyn' were mixed, but since the band had moved from Parlophone to Harvest in the UK and they didn't release monos at that time the mono tapes weren't used.
Gatefold laminated sleeve. Back cover notes do not say anything about a remix or remake other than it was digitally remastered and that the rights to the tapes are owned by Parlophone Records Ltd.
The original album was recorded at De Lane Lea Studios, London in August and October 1968 and it was remastered at Abbey Road Studios, London in 2000.
