Sie schmiedet einen lang angelegten Plan, der einen Hochkönig hervorbringen soll, der das Land - und die alte Religion - ein für alle Mal stärken soll: Arthur, der Halbbruder ihrer Nichte Morgaine, in der sie selbst ihre würdige Nachfolgerin sieht.
