Recordings 1955-2001 For Hungarian Radio |
 |
| Beschreibung: | In February 2016, the city of Budapest celebrated György Kurtág's 90th birthday with a grand eight-day festival honoring the composer. The music selected for this disc - all previously unreleased recordings - has been chosen from studio recordings in the archive of Hungarian Radio, as well as recordings that the Kurtágs have made at concerts. The bulk of the program is centered on pieces from Játékok, or "Games," a huge and ongoing collection for students. However, since the late 1970s these pieces have been seen as much more than study pieces; rather, they are emblematic of important stages in Kurtág's work as a composer., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Labelcode BAU233.2 |
