I bought it here at Grooves for nothing if I look to the value of the album entirely.
I lost my faith with this band once Anneke was gone but time ago I was curious to come back to their sound and listen what they have done after their album "Home" and so I met this "West Pole".
I was back to Mandylion age even if with their new singer who is perfectly able to join The Gathering sound and breathe soul into their lyrics and melodies.
Sincerously I don't find a single filler into this album and I'm surprised that it was not so hyped by the webzines. Pas mal, it's an hidden little bright gem to discover and listen when you want feel time running slower, at the rythm of the nimbs when the wind blows gently.
No birds call here, as says the song, not here at the west pole where we sit in the simple ancient way of closed eyes.
