Eugene S. - 23.11.2023 The ninth studio album by English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released on 18 April 1980. It is the first Black Sabbath album to feature vocalist Ronnie James Dio, who replaced original vocalist Ozzy Osbourne in 1979. I recommend.
| | Alexander Ivanovich S. - 03.03.2023 This is a diamond in a lavish BS discography! The reissue issued as a 8-panel digipak with 16-page booklet detailing the history of the album. This is a must have for any serious rock collector.
| | Alvin W. - 27.02.2022 Nice item and sounds great! Thank you.. gonna rock it out everyday
| | Athanasios B. - 21.11.2020 A classic heavy metal album and one of the best in Black Sabbath history. The band is in amazing form and Dio is outstanding.
| | Michael B. - 12.11.2020 Since I've listen to this album for the first time in 80th - Heaven & Hell is one of my favorite albums! Dio's vocals gives the Black Sabbath sound absolutely new breath.
This deluxe edition contains a bonus disc of B-sides and live tracks from this period. True must-have for Dio and Black Sabbath fans!
| | Azmi H. - 09.11.2020 One of the best album released by Black Sabbath. A must have album for their fans. The sound quality is just superb. Worth collecting.
| | Andrei Z. - 19.10.2020 Good edition. Nothing special. It seems to me that the sound is better on the previous edition. But, as a Sabbath lover, I am pleased to have it in my collection.
| | Oleksiy K. - 30.12.2019 Awesome re-release. Sounds and looks very good. As for the material - no weak compositions here. Favorites: Die Young, Wishing Well, Lady Evil, Lonely is the World. The bonus CD was interesting to listen. Never seen before the pictutes of the band, presented on this edition. Very cool!
| | Yuriy P. - 17.02.2019 It is difficult to write about such albums.
Reviewing the world classics of heavy music is a thankless and ignoble affair.
This album is a masterpiece, of which there are few. It is a pity for those people who have not yet heard him.
Do you consider yourself a cool rocker / metalist? Then this album should stand apart from everyone else in your collection. "Heaven And Hell" may well qualify for the Album of the Century award, and it will be among the first nominees.
As you know, this album was recorded by Black Sabbath after the departure of their legendary vocalist Ozzy Osbourne. Frankly, I never loved Ozzy. At all. Neither his songs nor his voice. For me, this is a useless frontman, and if not for his scandalous fame, he would hardly have received such fame. Black Sabbath gave him a start in life. He became so because of their music.
After he left, another frontman joined the band. Man, Vocalist (with a capital letter!) And a real leader. Ronnie James Dio, the patriarch of heavy music. A person so famous and great that it is impossible to find words to describe. Little Elf, absolutely brilliant man. His arrival adorned the group Black Sabbath. The voice of this person is difficult to describe. He must be heard. Forget about Ozzik's screams. Here is real vocal, high, with a slight touch of hoarseness, romance, real youthful enthusiasm. Dio sings for the sake of the process, for the soul, enjoying it. It was he who gave the guys from the group this spark of joy, enthusiasm, desire to make real music. And so we got it on this album. "Heaven And Hell" ... these albums no longer do. So what was Black Sabbath with Osbourne, and what was the group with Dio - two different things. There is no more that gloom, fear and cold. This is another album, more epic, more profound, fun, but at the same time, one of the most “intelligent”, philosophical, primarily due to the texts of maestro Ronnie. Awesome songs for all times.
High-speed and powerful opener "Neon Knights", full of different allegories, with simply stunning energy and indescribable beauty of Dio's vocals (you can listen to his repeated "Again and again and again forever). Great quality, hit of all time "Heaven And Hell" (the text amazes with its depth), easy, fun, and energetic "Lady Evil" ... you can take any of the 9 songs. They are flawless. Perfect.
This album is a classic not only heavy music. This is a classic of all musical art.
| | Vagner C. - 01.12.2018 Definitive version of the great masterpiece of Black Sabbath - personally, one the best albums of the band, if not itself. Mandatory item in BS collection!
